People You'll Meet

I've been fortunate to travel in North America, Scandinavia, Europe, the Middle East and China. And I've discovered that—when it comes to astonishing settings, history and culture—there’s no place like my home and native land.

So I decided to set the first of my own sagas where humans completed their circumnavigation of the globe: L’Anse aux Meadows, Canada. #CanLit

This is the big guy himself, Leif Eiriksson, also known as Leif the Lucky. He established the base camp at L'Anse aux Meadows, where he and his family members spent about ten years exploring, harvesting lumber, and building boats.

You'll also meet present-day Viking re-enactors, dedicated archeologists, and fiercely funny Newfoundlanders who bring the story to life. #IcelandicSagas

Everything about the Northern Peninsula is grand from icebergs

Everything about the Northern Peninsula is grand from icebergs to whales to moose. You definitely have to keep an eye out for all of them. #VikingTrail
